Seriously, the other day the older sprog came to me and said she wanted to be a fairy-tale writer when she grows up. Heh. And a dancer. I told her she can be anything she wants to be, and she seemed quite happy that she could be both a writer and a dancer and that she didn’t have to choose between the two.
This morning while I was making breakfast, she was telling me about morningjacks and nightjacks. I googled but I can’t find any references so I think this is direct from her fertile little imagination. Apparently, morningjacks are girl fairies that wake you up in the morning by shouting “Wake up time! Wake up time!” and nightjacks are boy fairies who help the birds put people to sleep.
Tricia sent me a sari (very beautiful one, in blue with silver and cerise flowers) and two teddy bears for the sprogs. Mucho thanks to her for a very cool pressie. I tried to take pics of the wee ones with their bears but Tanith was a pain, she kept coming closer and closer to the camera. Most of the pics of her feature chubby distorted baby-cheeks.
But: here is Noa with her bear.
And Tanith zombie-ing up to the camera.
